About Beyond The Sunset
BEYOND THE SUNSET website was built with the sole purpose to offer love, support, and comfort to those who grieve the loss of their child. Grief is physically and emotionally crippling. Everyone grieves differently. I offer words of comfort to help through the process of grief. I am a Board Certified Master Mental Health Coach, and a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors.
I offer words of comfort through my BLOGS, and memoirs being advertised on my website to leave a memory of a lost child. When our children die, we should not die also. We will grieve, but we do not have to succumb to this grief. I can attest to the fact that as the years roll by, your grief will be lessened. It is not erased, but that severe pain, anger, loneliness experienced at the beginning of your loss will slowly dissipate.
Beyond the Sunset is a caring community that can assist you during your grief process. During the process remember to allow and keep God’s presence in your life. Jesus is known as the Light of the world. Light signifies energy, life, happiness and prosperity. Darkness signifies unhappiness, fear and chaos. Be cognizant of the fact that the sun will come out in the morning! Light shine in the darkness and the darkness did not understandit.

I am Patricia A. Marston, born and raised on the beautiful island of Jamaica. Life has taken me on an extraordinary path—one filled with triumphs, tragedies, and transformation. My journey through loss has shaped my purpose: to offer love, comfort, and support to those experiencing grief.
From the depths of sorrow after losing my son, Bradley, I found healing through writing. Today, as a 2X Bestselling Author, Board-Certified Master Mental Health Coach, and Founder of Beyond The Sunset LLC, NY, I dedicate my life to helping others find light beyond their darkest moments.

The love I felt for my son Bradley began before he was even born. From the moment I became pregnant, I spoke to him daily—calling him by name, feeling his gentle kicks, and forming a bond beyond words. Our connection was deep, joyful, and sacred.
Bradley spent one month in the NICU. I’ll never forget the moment they removed the covering from his eyes and I called his name—he turned his tiny head toward me and looked straight into my soul. He knew me. He felt me. That moment is etched in my heart forever.
After his passing in 2001, grief kept me awake at night. I began writing letters to Bradley—letters that soon became a book, a tribute to the love we shared.
Bradley Benjamin Reid was not an ordinary child. He was and will always be My Extraordinary Son—the love of my life, my reason to fight, and my eternal light.
